Diane Lammert was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and has loved books, cats, and Star Wars from an early age. She received a B.A. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Go Huskers!) and an M.A. in library science from The University of Iowa. She has been a librarian since 1989.
Diane has worked at various branches of the Allen County Public Library and is currently employed part-time in the Reader's Services department of the main library in addition to her work at the LSUS library. Her husband Richard is a librarian at Concordia Theological Seminary and serves on the LSUS Board of Directors. Her son Miles has attended LSUS since the formation of the consolidated school and is now in the 8th grade. They are members of Zion Lutheran Church.
Diane served as Zion Lutheran Academy's librarian for 2 years and has been the LSUS librarian since 2009. She loves children's and young adult literature, particularly science fiction and fantasy. She has been known to do a fangirl flail upon finding a book from her want list at Half Price Books or Hyde Brothers Booksellers.
